The Animator

I think The Animator by Rollercoasterwater is a psychedelic pop project of Chuck Behring who is an MFA1 perf/comp major at CalArts. Fascinated by earworm and the way that concept in Melody can also translate into texture. This album was made of the course of me learning how to animate in Cinema 4D class at CalArts, and comes with two music videos. The animator is a pensive reflective shimmering existential pop record. Taking the philosophy of animation stretch squash and bounce back and applying it to Melody. Taking cues from both PC music and vaporwave and spinning it into something different. The fast and slow cancel out and create a unique animated pop project.
